Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Philippians 2:5-7
The highest intelligence, the mind of God in Christ, is to descend towards the lowliest of suffering. The height of the God’s love is to descend to our hurts and pains. He did not send an ordinary human for the task, God Himself took on human flesh to do what we cannot do for ourselves.
Equality is not the mind of Christ but generosity. God is generous in His goodness, mercy and grace. As we come and follow Him today, let us invite Him to the deep hurts of our soul so that He can pour out His generous healing of mercy and grace.
Prayer:Our Father, our mind demands equality, but your mind gives generously. Continue to renew our minds by the power of Your Spirit so that we can discern Your will and fulfill Your heart.
