Come, Follow Me As A Healer

Jesus said, “Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed that very moment. Matthew 8:13

Jesus marvelled at the centurion’s faith in Him because he was ready to take the words of Jesus as a done deal (Matthew 8:10b). Jesus even says, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.” Why does Jesus heal based on the quality of one’s faith? Is it that He heals not just our infirmities but also our disbelief? The healing becomes only a token of a more precious gift: the gift of perseverance amidst the impossible. In receiving this gift of perseverance, what God has healed in us becomes a well of healing for others.

Many people are presently trapped in what’s possible because they don’t have the perseverance nor the ability to persist in following God in their pain. May you be the light in those dark places.

Prayer:Our Father, You bestow us with abundant gifts of healing, persistence and faith. Empower us to walk in the dark places to bring Your good news.
