“Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared… hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on the helmet of salvation, and… the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:13-17.
God has equipped us to win. Then dress and take your stand. You have been enrolled in the army of God. I wish I could tell you otherwise; that everything will be rousing and you don’t need to fight. The Christian faith is not for cowards. You are in warfare. It is time to dress in the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the boot of the Good News, the helmet of salvation. And take up your sword and shield of faith and be on the offensive. All these weapons have given to us to resist the encroachment of the enemy.
Jesus, I thank you that you have given me power over all the power of the enemy. You have commanded me to cast out demons and to bind and loose. Teach me how to use the weapons you have given to me effectively, in Jesus name. Amen!
