Come, Follow My Legs

And He went a little beyond them [in the Garden of Gethsemane], and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.” Matthew 26:39

Jesus’ legs gave in to prayer. When faced with the toughest moment and decision of His life, instead of using his legs to run away, Jesus persisted and his legs gave in to prayer. Jesus used His legs to surrender Himself to God the Father. He did not use His legs to stand up for his rights. Instead, He gave up His rights as His knees gave in to prayer. He wasn’t even kneeling but flat on the ground.

Do I face a significant challenge by running away from it or running towards God in prayer?

Prayer:Our Father, you have given me two legs to run the race of faith. Your Son, Jesus Christ, has run and finished the race for me at the Cross. Strengthen my knees in prayer as I surrender my all to You.
