The fallacy of the modern human is that he or she is self-made. This fallacy has crept into the church. The Word of God dispels this lie. It is God who makes anyone fishers of men. It is God alone who makes creation and new creation! Intimacy with God is to be made new in Christ by the power of His Spirit. The Risen One did not just showcase the power of the Almighty to conquer death. He defeated death to create the life that death cannot conquer!
As You and I come and follow Christ, He is the one who is making us. To be a Christian is not to be a self-made human but a God-made one. He is making you and I into the likeness of His Son.
