Come Follow My Will

[Jesus said,] “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.” Luke 22:42.

Coming and following are daily decisions we have to make. We don’t come or follow randomly. We don’t drift towards obeying God. Today, we have a decision to make. Are we going to come to Jesus? Are we going to follow Jesus? It is true that some decisions are easier than others. Especially in those moments when it is easier to make the wrong decision, Jesus invites us to come and follow Him.

In Luke 22:42, Jesus shows us that the crux of His life is not about His will but the Father’s will. It is not about making the right choice but giving up His right to choose and allowing the Father to have His way. O such humility! Jesus Christ entrusts His will and Himself to His Father.

Prayer: Our Father, in Christ, we are Yours. We surrender our will to You, today, by the power of the Holy Ghost. Have Your way in me and in us, so that Your glory can shine in my life and in world around me. Your unfailing love is trustworthy and true. My will in Your hands will accomplish Your purpose in my life.
