Come, Follow My Feet

Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. John 12:3

Jesus receives our heartfelt adoration and fills the house with our adoration and praises. Imagine heaven full of fragrance as we continue to adore Jesus in our lives, both public and private. This story depicts that Jesus welcomes our humility. Humility is as much the fragrance of heaven as it is a part of the fragrance of the life of Jesus (Philippians 2:5-9).

Our feet are one of the most active parts of our body. Even then, Jesus is not always on the go. Furthermore, Jesus is never in a hurry. In the story, Jesus took the time to receive the offering of Mary, an intimate offering, an expensive offering. May our feet learn to be in pace with our Lord Jesus Christ knowing when to rest and when to make a step of faith.

Prayer:Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, Bid us to come as you have called Peter out of the boat . Pour out Your Spirit afresh in our lives so we can step out of our boat of comfort and take the step of faith.
